1. Chungcheongbuk-do builds society where business leaders are respected.
To this end, the province is staging “Lift the Business Spirit” campaign.
- It has designated Businessmen’s day, held meeting with business leaders, and
bestowed awards upon SMEs.
Chungbuk is implementing 24 tasks to create a culture of respect for business leaders.
- It has established businessmen’s hall of fame, allowed business leaders to use
Chungju International Airport VIP lounge and public facilities for free.
The province is committed to building business-friendly society through province-wide company support movements.
2. Chungbuk aims to create the best investment climate in the country.

Expanding incentives to companies
- Chungbuk offers up to KRW 10 billion to companies that move their operation from
the Seoul metropolitan area to the province.
- It offers up to KRW 5 billion to companies that move into the province from other
provincial areas or companies or companies that build new factories.
- It provides KRW 1 billion to foreign-invested companies for employment and
vocational training.
- It aims to raise KRW 10 billion for investment promotion fund by 2010.
Chungbuk is also making tremendous effort to remove any impediment to investment amend regulations (laws, ordinances, guidelines, etc.).
3. Chungbuk supports SMEs and venture companies.
Provision of customer-oriented one-stop service
- Chungbuk operates a troubleshooting center and “e-love company center” to resolve
grievances on line and off line.
- It provides one-stop service for SME in starting business and building factories.
Extending low-interest loans in a timely manner
- Raising SME development fund
- Management of Biotopia Fund (KRW 11 billion)
- Management of Speical Economic Province Fund (KRW 50 billion)
